Thank you for visiting the M-WAC. The Mid-West Athletic Conference is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association. The Mid-West Athletic Conference was founded in 1990 and is part of National Junior College Athletic Association, Region 24. There are nine schools that are members of the M-WAC.

John Wood Men's Basketball Improves to 11-1
John Wood's Kody Kirkpatrick earned a career high 26 points (6-8 3FG) against MacMurray JV squad. John Wood moves to 11-1, the best start in the program's history, and is currently #5 in the latest national poll.

Lincoln Men's Soccer Heading to Nationals
The Lynx Men's soccer team has won back to back region titles, district titles, and are heading back to the NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer National Tournament. On Saturday, November 5th, the Lynx traveled to Kansas City to play MCC Maple Woods with the Lynx winning 2-1. It was a tough match against a very good team that was played in windy conditions on a small field.

Lincoln College Men's Soccer Champions Again
For the second year in a row, the Lincoln College Men's Soccer team beat Illinois Central College in the Region 24 Tournament Championship. The Lynx are off to the District Final once again and one more step closer to another NJCAA National Tournament. Lincoln is currently ranked number #13 in the Nation in the latest NJCAA Poll.
The Lynx won the Region 24 tournament final 4-3. Lincoln opened the scoring in the 4th minute of the match when Edwin Moalosi crossed a ball to Junior Milien who hit a left footed volley to far post. The game would stay 1-0 all the way to the halftime mark with both teams getting quality chances but neither being able to capitalize. The start of the second half saw Lincoln score in the 2nd minute of play when Anders Fegri hit a left footed shot around an outstretched keeper on a corner kick. ICC would score on a set piece 10 minutes from outside the box. However, Lincoln didn't let it slow them down as they got on back on the scoreboard a few minutes later when Edwin Moalosi found a wide open net on a counter attack after dribbling past the keeper. Lincoln would get their 4th goal from Julio Velasquez when he whipped a corner kick into far post. With 4 minutes left it looked like a win was in the bag for the Lynx when ICC scored on a long shot from 30 out. ICC would keep the pressure on and score their 3rd goal with 1:27 left in the match. The Lynx were able to hold them off to win back to back regional championships going 11-0 in region play and undefeated the past two season is region play. Also, for the second season in a row, Head Coach Ben Massena was named Region 24 Coach of the Year.
Lincoln travels to take on MCC Maple Woods in Kansas City for the district final. The winner of the district final advances to the national tournament in Phoenix, Arizona.

200th Win for Lincoln Land Coach
Jim Dietz earned his 200th win as the Lincoln Land Community College volleyball coach with their win over Kankakee Community College on Saturday, October 29. His coaching record is now 201-82.

Lincoln Men's Soccer in the Finals
The Lincoln men's soccer team is back in the region tournament final. For the second year in a row the men's soccer team defeated Parkland in the semi-final to advance to take on Illinois Central College. Lincoln opened the scoring in the fourth minute on a corner kick rebound that Adrien Sathler curled into the upper 90 of the goal. Parkland would tie the score up later in the half when they hit a great set piece around the wall into far post past a stretching Mario Alfario. This was followed a few minutes later with Edwin Moalosi scoring the game winning goal off another corner kick. At the end of the first half Ruben Gayan slotted Moalosi again for the third goal on a break away counter attack.
Parkland put the pressure on but in a defense mindset the Lynx kept them off the board and got their fourth goal with seven seconds left when Felix Cordoba was brought down in the box that lead to a penalty that Ruben Gaytan took full advantage of ending the match 4-1.

Lincoln College Soccer Back to Back Region 24 Champions
Lincoln College men's soccer clinched the regular season Region 24 title with another shutout victory versus Lincoln Land Community College on Thursday in Springfield. The win puts Lincoln 7-0 in region and was their fifth shutout in a row which is a new school record for consecutive shutouts. This will secure home field advantage for the Lynx for the Region 24 Tournament.

Lincoln Land Volleyball Players Ranked Among Nation's Leaders
Hollie Schultz is 20th in the nation with 36 aces and 24th in aces/game (among players who have appeared in at least 40 games).
Taylor Rhodes is 10th in the nation with 226 kills.
Emily Orrick is 10th in the nation with 5.38 digs/game and is first in the nation in total digs with 463.
Mary Bushur is 17th in the nation in assists/game and third in assists with 719.
Haley Maxwell is 16th in the nation with 73 blocks.
